Ashlee Simpson And Evan Ross's Engagement

Two Hollywood families converged on Wednesday night, celebrating Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross's engagement at a themed bash.

Jessica Simpson was on hand to fete her sister's impending nuptials, taking to Instagram to share a sweet sisterly snap. "Celebrating my best friend and sister . . . I love her so much!" she wrote in the caption. 

Meanwhile, Ashlee shared a romantic photo with Evan on Twitter, writing, "What an amazing engagement party with all of our loved ones! We getting' married :)" Cream was clearly the colour of the evening, as the sisters and Evan all matched. 

Jessica went with a super slim mini dress while Ashlee donned a flowing tunic and feather headpiece. Evan also got in on the social media fun, posting pictures of his fiancé and sisters. 

The exciting evening was significant to the Ross family for more than one reason; their mother, Diana Ross, turned 70!

Ashlee, 29, and Evan, 25, first gave us a glimpse of their romance in July 2013, when they stepped out for a smiley lunch together. 

In January, the couple announced their engagement on Twitter with a photo of themselves and Ashlee's stunning Neil Lane engagement ring. 

Evan wrote, "The love of my life said YES!!!!!!" Congratulations, Ashlee and Evan!
