COMMUTER TRAIN DERAILED IN CHICAGO!
An eight-car commuter train derailed at Chicago O'Hare Airport's underground station on Monday morning, leaving 32 people injured.
After skidding across a platform and onto an escalator, the Blue Line train finally came to a stop. Fortunately, none of the reported injuries are life-threatening, and the accident occurred around 3 a.m., so the typically busy station was far less crowded.
One of the passengers, Denise Adams, recounted the incident, saying, "I heard a boom, and when I got off the train, the train was all the way up the escalator.
It was a lot of panic." The city's police and fire departments are working with the Chicago Transit Authority to determine a cause, and the station is expected to be closed for 12 to 24 hours.
