Craig David Takes Delivery Of $250,000 Lamborghini, Promising New Album

He may not exactly be top of the pops these days, but clearly Craig David still has plenty of spare coin to pay for his new $250,000 sports car while he tinkers with a new album on the side.

His newly-delivered Lamborghini LP550 - TS5 Edition took some four months to build and is, in the words of Craig himself, totally 'unique'.

'I think we've created something special,' he wrote on his Instagram posting numerous photos of his new prized possession. 'Can't tell you how excited I am!'

'Had such an amazing day picking up my brand new "Lamborghini LP550 - TS5 Edition",' he wrote. 'She looks so beautiful! Thank you again @Brett_David for all the hard work over the 4 months to get this project completed!

'And thank you @IsmaelGarciaMiami for insisting that I made the move to a Lambo after all', he added. mind of late too.

While Craig keeps himself busy with his expensive new play thing, he has actually had music on him As well as his Capital Xtra show TS5, which is broadcast live from Miami every Fright at 10pm, the 32-year-old, who celebrates birthday #33 on May 5, is now signed to music publishers Universal Music.

It appears that his sixth solo album, Following my Intuition, isn't too far away from release either.

Craig posted a photo taken at the home of producer Toby Gad who has been working on material with him for the forthcoming album.

'After a great week recording in L.A with @tobygadmusic it's back home to Miami for my @TS5 house party tonight!,' he wrote. 'So ready to make the most of this weekend! Had to take a photo of this dope @beyonce plaque as I walk out of the studio. 'So cool knowing "If I were a boy" was recorded here too, same producer,' he added. That isn't Craig's only connection to Beyonce.

He recently posted his remix of Beyonce's Flow track on YouTube for fans to enjoy too, credited as Craig David vs Beyonce.

Craig's last album was Signed Sealed Delivered in 2010, an album of covers that peaked at #13 in the UK charts.

Some of his biggest hits are Walking Away, What's Your Flava?, 7 Days, Fill Me In and Rewind.

Craig's Twitter account, which has 260,000 following describes him as 'recording new album for 2014' and talks about his DJ shows and sets live from Miami.

In 2010 The Sunday Times' Rich List put Craig's net worth at around £8 million
