Jennifer Lopez's Romantic End To A Hard Day's Work: Enjoys Cosy Dinner With Beau Casper Smart After American Idol

She was her usual glamorous self as she took her seat on the judging panel for American Idol on Wednesday, stepping out in a stunning gold leather-look dress. But after a hard day's filming, Jennifer Lopez took the opportunity for a relaxing night out - swapping her clinging ensemble for a cosy white sweater and heading out for a romantic dinner with beau Casper Smart.

The star still looked as glamorous as ever as she sat in the passenger seat of their vehicle texting while Smart took the wheel. The couple enjoyed dinner at West Hollywood hotspot Craig's for dinner and looked as in love as ever after two years of dating - with Casper holding the door open for her as she got into the car.

The star recently hinted that she feels in a better place in her relationships since splitting with husband Marc Anthony back in 2012. 'It's about finding a relationship that has enough good stuff to outweigh the bad, because nobody's perfect right?' she told Glamour UK. 'But without the spark that conflict brings, life would be so boring. I want a bit of chaos in a relationship, but I also want a bit of safety and order

Earlier in the day, the couple were spotted strolling hand in hand and smiling outside the American Idol studios in Los Angeles.

Jennifer teamed her stunning dress with hooped earrings and spiky suede platform heels while Casper sported a backwards baseball cap and tight black T-shirt which showed off his multiple tattoos.

Season 13 is down to seven finalists now, and the show allowed them to pick the songs for their competitors on Wednesday's edition.

However, Jennifer has recently been subject to rumours that her return to Idol could be short lived A report on Radar earlier this week suggested that staff and crew of the show are 'desperate to find new jobs'.

Most recent winner of the show Candice Glover saw dismal sales of her début album, reportedly selling a mere 19,000 copies in its first week on the charts. An insider told Radar:
'The crew and staff on Idol are not new to the industry and have been around the block before. They know a sinking ship when they see one.'
