Kelly Clarkson Reveals First Photos Of Baby Bump On Boat Day With Brandon Blackstock
Pregnant Kelly Clarkson was photographed for the first time in four months on Sunday, April 20, when she and her husband, Brandon Blackstock, joined his family for an Easter outing in Nashville, Tenn.
The "Tie It Up" singer, 31, showed off her growing baby bump in a salmon-colored tunic with a big black-and-white bow printed right over her belly. She paired the top with black leggings and flip-flops.
Clarkson and Blackstock joined his family -- including stepmom Reba McEntire -- for an afternoon on a boat, where they soaked up the spring sunshine. They were also spotted dining at a Cracker Barrel restaurant.
The Grammy-winning star first announced her pregnancy back in November. "Brandon and I are so excited!" the first-time mom-to-be tweeted to her millions of followers on Nov. 19. "Best early Christmas present ever."
A few days later, she appeared on the Today show, where she talked with Savannah Guthrie about her difficult first trimester. "I don't know why they call it morning sickness," she quipped. "That's my big joke right now because it's all day and all night."
Indeed, the American Idol alum told Ellen DeGeneres in December that she was vomiting "a good dozen times" a day. "I'm not even kidding. It's so bad. It's so bad," she lamented at the time. "It's, like, so gross. And that's the thing, too -- you're not attractive when you're pregnant."
She continued: "Everybody tells you that you glow and your hair is pretty and your nails are pretty. That is total crap. My nails are short, my hair still falls out -- it's not all lush and beautiful -- and I have no glow."
Since then, the singer has kept a very low profile. She hasn't been photographed at an event in months, but she has tweeted a handful of times about being pregnant. Back in January, she announced via the social media site that she was expecting a baby girl. A month and a half later, in March, she wrote, "Okay, my baby is moving like crazy in my belly this morning. Such a cool yet weird feeling."
She also tweeted on April 12: "There's something very cool yet very creepy about a baby moving inside your belly. Regardless, I'm pretty sure she's gonna be a gymnast."
