Friday saw the Happy singer head to Bikini Bottom at Cipriani Wall Street in New York to celebrate his 41st birthday in style – SpongeBob style that is.

Self-confessed fan Pharrell, who wore a SpongeBob onesie to the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards the other week, has launched a clothing range dedicated to the cartoon star as part of his label Billionaire Boys Club.

Guests included cartoon favourites Squidward Tentacles, Sandy Cheeks and of course Patrick, while Alicia Keys, her husband Swizz Beatz and Q-Tip provided the celeb factor
 

 

After the birthday boy blew out his candles and made a wish, everyone got to tuck into a giant burger-shaped birthday cake featuring SpongeBob

Finally, as a reminder of what a great evening it was, guests left with a goody bag of treats which included book The SpongeBob SquarePants Experience: A Deep Dive Into the World of Bikini Bottom.
