She celebrated her baby shower on Saturday with a 'royal' theme.
But before the party, rapper Lil' Kim, 39, asked her fans to buy her baby gifts off a registry that includes items from luxury stores Tiffany & Co and Bel Bambini.
'...please make sure they check off your gift from the registry after purchase,' wrote her assistant, who tweeted the message. 'Thank u guys so much #teamlilkim.'
Lil' Kim - who is expecting a girl with rapper Mr. Papers - listed a range of items on the registry, from high-end to the more budget-friendly.
Items included a $575 sterling silver baby cup from Tiffany & Co (which, according to the registry, was purchased) and a Snow White bib and booties set, retailing at $9.99, at Buy Buy Baby.
Most fans responded positively to her request, but some blasted her for being 'tacky'.
'Do you really need your fans to buy your baby shower gifts? Tacky,' one user wrote on Instagram, according to RadarOnline.
'She wanted her fans to get involved,' a source told the website.
Meanwhile, Lil' Kim celebrated the impending birth of her first child with an extravagant 'royal baby shower' in New York on Saturday.
But while the singer went all-out with the theme, with guests walking a pink and blue carpet as trumpeters announced their arrival, she brought the tone of the whole affair down significantly as she greeted baby daddy Mr Papers with a rather grotesque tongue kiss in front of everyone.
The proud parents-to-be put on quite the show as they hammed it up for the cameras outside the Broad Street Ballroom, as the rapper lovingly caressed her blossoming baby bump.
'Can't wait for my NYC Royal Baby Shower this weekend thrown by the one & only @davidtutera! #royalbabyshower #queenbeelilbee #DavidTutera,' Kim tweeted on Thursday.
Mr Papers presented his lady love with a bouquet of red roses as he accompanied her into the bash.
The mom-to-be - real name Kimberly Jones - was glowing as she nears the end of her pregnancy, which she announced in February, saying she was 'a few months along' with her first child.
She dressed up for the celebration in a nude-coloured gown featuring pretty white lace detail and capped sleeves, which fit snuggly down to just past her hips, before flowing out at the bottom.

She was dripping in jewels, with huge dangly earrings, several blinged-out rings and a chunky bracelet.
While there have been mixed reports as to the sex of the baby, guests arrived with gifts wrapped in pinks as well as a variety of neutral greens, yellows and lilacs.
Even celebrity wedding planner David Tutera, who threw together the party, teamed a bright pink shirt with a blue brocade blazer, paired with dark blue
jeans and black loafers.
Mr Papers also put in some extra effort in the wardrobe department, teaming baggy jeans with a white shirt and matching waistcoat, completing his outfit with black and white high-top sneakers.
But while plenty of guests did put on their finest attire for the 'royal' bash, there was also a overwhelming amount of bare flesh on the carpet.
From miniscule hemlines to thigh-high slits, plunging necklines and exposed midriffs, nothing was deemed too risqué.
Kim and Mr Papers were first linked back in May 2012, though they broke up sometime later that year, before evidently reuniting.
This will be the second child for the New York-based rapper, who has a four-year-old son he refers to as his 'little prince'.
