Brandy Apologizes To Fans For Moesha Series Finale (VIDEO)

We’re not sure how you feel after all these years, but we’re still stewing over the 2001 series finale of the hit family show Moesha. We were totally left hanging off in an extreme cliffhanger (abduction, pregnancy) without a seventh season to clear it all up — and we still have strong feelings about it.

Former Disney star-turned-daytime talk show host Keke Palmer spoke to special guest Brandy about the abrupt ending on a recent episode of her show Just Keke. And guys, Brandy took time to apologize to fans for it.

“I don’t know what happened,” Brandy explained, adding, “And I feel so bad because so many of the fans are so mad about that. That’s not the way to end a show that’s been on for six years, so we’re sorry, y’all.”

For those of you who can’t remember the season finale-turned-series finale — has it really been 13 years?! — the show left off with Moesha’s little brother Myles (Marcus T. Paulk) being held ransom by a rival of Moesha’s other brother, Dorian (Ray J).

In the midst of it all, Moesha and her best friend-turned-boyfriend Hakeem (Lamont Bentley) were planning on moving in together, and a positive pregnancy test was found in Moesha’s dorm room.

Keke continued to tell Brandy how upset she was about the show’s cancellation, but Brandy expressed that she was just as upset, too, since they didn’t know the show wasn’t returning either.

“You know something? It’s something when we didn’t know," she said. "Yeah, the cast members didn’t know either.”

Sigh. Will we ever know what became of Myles, if Moesha and Hakeem got married, or if Neecy was pregnant? Guess we’ll have to consider these questions unsolved like the mysteries of the universe.
