Mesut Ozil Used His World Cup Money to Pay for 23 Surgeries for Brazilian Kids

While widespread reports that Mesut Ozil donated his €300,000 prize for winning the World Cup to the people of Gaza proved to be untrue, he did put forth his cash toward a noble cause.

After paying for the surgeries of 11 children in Brazil before the World Cup, after Germany triumphed he announced that he'd pay for the surgeries of 23 sick children in Brazil—one for each member of Germany's 23-man squad.

Classy move.
