Robin Thicke: When You're Done Digging That Hole, Crawl Into It
FISHWRAPPER: - Yeah, yeah, we know: he always wanted good girl (you knew he wanted it) -- but when he got her, he allegedly cheated, though that's not what drove Robin Thicke and Paula Patton apart -- now he's claiming it was because he got "too selfish" and "too greedy" and was "too full of himself," which Paula likely knew the moment she made the decision to marry him, so that marriage-ending theory just doesn't hold a whole lot of water (like a douche does. A douche holds a real lot of water).
In that interview that nobody can seem to stop talking about - Robin said that he's a good man who just messed up, but lied for awhile. And, uh, oxymoron, but take it away, Robin:
"You know, I'm a man. I messed up and had to lie for a while. Then I stopped lying. And that was actually good for me, 'cause I was tired of lying. So this whole album is me revealing everything. ... [The alleged cheating is] not why we're apart. We're apart because we just couldn't be together anymore. ... There's a hundred different reasons; there isn't just one. There's a long list. ... I got a little too selfish and a little too greedy and a little too full of myself."
So it's not because of the above picture, but it is because of lying and general a-holery, but yet we're expected to think that Robin is the "good," but wounded dude he's trying to convince the press he is? Now he's changing his story all over the place and we're supposed to forget the first single off his CD that talked about text messages and breaking trust and all of that?
And blaming it on being "a man"? What tribe of cavemen did this guy come from? It's cool, Robin, you're just giving every good man a bad name, now. Why not add insult to injury?
Come on -- it's no wonder Paula Patton hasn't seen him in 4 months: she's probably realized just how good she's got it being well shot of him nearly altogether.
Buddy, if this is all a wrongly-calculated PR move to promote your new album, you can stop -- nobody cares about the songs on this craptacular "Paula" EP, because they're too busy caring that the actual Paula just stays the hell away from you.
You can quit now, man, it's over -- just like your music career, OK?
