“Do I Make You Nervous?” - Idris Elba Covers “Details,” Talks Playing A Villain In “No Good Deed"

As if folks hadn't spent enough time over the weekend losing their minds over what they thought/hoped was Idris Elba’s junk on their computer screens (he confirmed that it was actually just a cord for a mic), the hunky Brit is really giving fans an eyeful as he covers the new issue of Details. As you can see he’s quite delicious on the cover, but inside the mag, he gets serious when speaking about his career and how after playing Nelson Mandela, he was bothered by some of the roles being offered to him:

“You know, I’d just played this iconic human being, and the scripts I got afterward were sort of . . . disappointing.

It’s hard not to sound disgruntled sometimes as an actor. Look, I know that I work a lot, but I’d prefer to wait sometimes because I don’t want to just do rubbish films anymore or characters that anyone can play.”

Elba also talked about his upcoming role as Colin, a charming escaped convict who preys upon a mother (played by Taraji P. Henson) and her daughter in the upcoming thriller, No Good Deed. The film will be released on September 12, and the actor says that playing the violent and vile character was of all things, fun.

“There must be some demons within me, because I sort of enjoyed having that rage. The other actors were like, ‘Oh my God, you’re terrifying the sh*t out of me!’”

You can check out Elba’s full interview, as well as all the images from his spread (in most he is oiled up and shirtless) over at Details. And make sure you check out the trailer for No Good Deed below if you haven’t already ogled over it
