Kris Jenner Clears Up Rumors About Bruce Jenner's Transformation, Talks Divorce

Family first. Kris Jenner stopped by the Today show on Monday, Oct. 20, to promote her new cookbook In the Kitchen with Kris, but spent the time with Hoda Kotb talking about her famous daughters and her family.

Jenner, 58, is releasing In the Kitchen with Kris: A Kollection of Kardashian-Jenner Family Favorites, on Tuesday, Oct. 21, debuting a series of personal recipes and entertainment tips. While she also joined Kotb for a cooking segment, she dedicated much of her on-camera time to discussions of the Kardashian-Jenner clan.

The book is dedicated to Jenner's loved ones, but does not mention her estranged husband Bruce Jenner.

"I did it for the kids this time," she said on Today. "Bruce and I were getting a divorce. I mean, he's a great guy, but I just did it for the kids and the grandkids."
Jenner, who is grandmother to Kourtney Kardashian's children Mason, 4, and Penelope, 2, and to Kim Kardashian's daughter North, 15 months, filed for divorce from her husband last month, about one year after they announced their separation.

"I think that at some point in your life you have to make a decision to do what's right for your family and the kids," the famed momager said of the end of her marriage. "I think that we decided to be grown-ups. We decided we're just better apart than we are together but we're still really good friends."

Bruce has remained a part of Kris' life, and she took the chance to clear up some rumors surrounding his life while she was on Today. As to word that the former Olympic athlete is purposefully transitioning his appearance to that of a woman, Kris said: "It's silly. They've been saying that since the '70s."

She went on to add that she has no issue with Bruce's dating life, despite rumors to the contrary, which report that he is dating Kris' good friend. "I just want him to be happy," Kris said. "I don't care who he goes out with and I don't know who he's dating. He doesn't check in with me and give me a play-by-play. But it's his life and you just want the guy to be happy. He's still the father of two of my children and so we're friends."
