Snoop Dogg, Iggy Azalea And Nick Young Are Engaged In A Dumb Beef

In your weekly reminder that the Internet is a great place for doing dumb things you'll regret later, Snoop Dogg, Iggy Azalea and Nick Young are waging a social media war over an Instagram picture. This weird saga began in earnest Friday when ETOnline posted a picture of Azalea without makeup.

Snoop Dogg responded by posting a picture of a person with cornrows to his Instagram account.

From there, Snoop and the "Fancy" rapper went down an ugly rabbit hole of social media trash talk and meme-slinging.

Azalea posted a now-deleted picture of the rapper titled, "When your drug addict aunt gets clean." Snoop shot back with memes comparing Azalea to the Wayans brothers in White Chicks.

The rapper then posted an Instagram video calling Azalea a "c--t" and telling Young to "check [Azalea] before I do." (NSFW language) More social media ugliness followed,

and eventually, Young—Azalea's boyfriend—chimed in on Twitter with some remarks for the "old head."

As of Wednesday morning, Snoop had yet to respond to Young's remarks, but it would be a distinct breach in his operating procedure if the rapper let the remarks go unanswered. Unless some sort of truce or stand-down is secured by November, it's going to be awkward times at the Staples Center this NBA season.

There's only so much avoiding you can do when the man who threatened your girlfriend during an exceedingly dumb social media exchange is sitting courtside.

So let this be a lesson to all those keyboard warriors out there, both famous and anonymous: Don't be a social media samurai, kids.

Sometimes you need to throw a tarp on the Internet machine and go outside.
