Famous Cheerleader Mum Accused Of Raping Son's Teenage Friend During Getaway At Beach House

A former American football cheerleader has been charged with raping her son’s friend in a case that has shocked the US.

Molly Shattuck, 47, is accused of molesting the 15-year-old after plying him with alcohol during a weekend away.

The mother of three, who is separated from billionaire Mayo Shattuck, is well-known for being the oldest NFL cheerleader in history when she worked for Baltimore Ravens at 38.

She has also written several books on healthy living and home-making. Police in Delaware have charged the housewife with third-degree rape, unlawful sexual contact and providing alcohol to minors.

The story has caused waves in the United States where the mum was known for her wholesome image. Officers revealed it was her own son who urged the unnamed victim to text his mum, claiming, “She is obsessed with you”, after spotting photos of the teen on Instagram.

The relationship began in May when Shattuck commented on a picture on the site.

The victim replied with a private message of thanks but her son then forwarded his mum’s number, saying: “You should text my Mom, she is obsessed with you,” court records claim.

The pair first met a month later while the teen was visiting a friend in her neighbourhood.

The meeting ended with a hug but no other physical contact. But they then started to meet regularly for private trysts in her car with one even taking place in the school car park.

Police claim the mum-of-three picked the teen up from school at lunchtime and they would “talk and eat and then get in the back of the car and kiss or make out”.

The victim told police Shattuck asked him to send pictures of himself and he sent ones shirtless and in his underwear.

The most serious allegations against the accused relate to a weekend when she took her kids and some of their friends including the victim to a beach house.

Court papers reveal she bought beer for the teens and later twice performed a sex act on the boy.

It’s alleged the mum-of-three told her son’s friend “if he wanted to have sex she would. The boy opted out. He decided to leave.

At that point, she told him to come back later but he did not go back”. Several days later, the boy’s family reported Shattuck to police who raided her home and seized her mobile phone and computer.

They took a pink underwear set the victim described her as wearing in the bedroom of her beach house. Shattuck was bailed on Wednesday and her trial is expected to cause a media frenzy.
