NeNe Leakes Tries On Victorian Inspired Ball Gown For Upcoming Cinderella Role On Broadway As Husband Gregg Rests Platter Of Pastries On The Bustle

She is known for stirring up the drama as she has starred in all seven seasons of The Real Housewives Of Atlanta.

But NeNe Leakes will soon be taking on a role even more infamous than her reality television persona.

As the 46-year-old star is set to play the role of wicked stepmother Madame in Broadway play Cinderella, she was seen trying on two ball gowns during a costume fitting at Euroco Costumes in New York City on Friday.

She was not alone on the outing as husband Gregg joined her while he playfully placed a serving platter of pastries on the bustle of the dress to show off how bodacious his wife's behind will be on stage.

He was not done having fun with the garment as he also ate one of the baked goods off of the plate and later even rested a glass bottle of juice on it.

During the fitting, NeNe met with designer William Ivey Long to try on the Victorian era inspired frocks during her final costume fitting for the upcoming Broadway production.

She donned two different gowns; one rose-coloured and the other taupe, which each featured floral patterns and large stand collars.

No doubt the actress and fashion designer was quite proud to put on the extravagant garb as she beamed while maneuvering her way around the room in the large dress.

Her signature platinum blonde locks were combed down as she donned natural, complimentary make-up on her face topped off with a swipe of pink lipstick.

Gregg looked comfortable in a lilac button-down top, a grey scarf around his neck, baggy blue jeans and black leather loafers featuring silver spikes all over them.

NeNe seems to be quite excited for the project as she posted the two outfits onto her blog accompanied with a heartfelt caption.

She wrote: 'Had my final fitting today for Broadway Cinderella with famous costume designer William Ivey Long! I shed tears every time! I feel so honored!'

Playbill reported that the television personality will be finishing up Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella's run at the Broadway Theatre as it is set to end on January 3 after 41 previews and 770 regular performances.

NeNe will be taking over the iconic role for The View co-host Sherri Shepard on Tuesday as Akeelah And The Bee star Keke Palmer stars in the title role of Cinderella
