'Ozzy Has Decided He Wants To Do Another Few Episodes': Sharon Confirms The Osbournes Will Return… As She Steps Out In Stylish Black Ensemble

They burst on to the screens with their searingly honest serving of reality TV in 2002, paving the way for a whole new genre of fly-on-the-wall watching.

And now Sharon Osbourne, 62, has delighted fans with the exciting news her family’s reality show, The Osbournes, is set to return for an eight episode special.

Speaking on ITV’s Loose Women on Friday the star explained it was husband Ozzy Osbourne’s idea because he can’t remember the initial four series - which aired from March 2002 to March 2005 - as the Black Sabbath rockstar was drunk the whole time.

Dressed like she meant business, Sharon cut a polished figure in a tailored trenchcoat, black trousers, pointed shoes and a scarf.

On the show, an honest Sharon confessed: ‘Ozzy has decided that he wants to do another few episodes, not a whole season, about eight episodes, of The Osbournes.'

'He said that for the whole three years that we did it he was drunk the whole time. But he would like to do one where he's completely sober, as he is now.’

Ozzie previously battled addiction but has been sober for two years and attends daily Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.

The flame-haired matriarch revealed the show will mainly focus on her and Ozzy, although it will feature the odd appearance from their now grown-up children Jack, 28, and Kelly, 30.

‘[The children] will come in and out. Hopefully [we'll start filming] in January but as I say it's not forever, no more than eight episodes,’ she confirmed.

‘Because it's been 13 years and our lives have changed so much than it's a kind of catch-up, like, "What are they doing now?'”

The Osbournes was the most-viewed series ever on MTV after its first season.

Meanwhile on Monday the former music manager spoke candidly about her ongoing battle with depression during her appearance on The Talk.

'Some days are better than others, and some days you feel like you just want to pull the sheets over your head and just stay in that bed and not do a damn thing - except rot,' she said of her struggle.
