Chris Brown and Tyga talked with Nessa on Hot 97 on everything from their personal relationships with Karrueche Tran and Kylie Jenner to Kanye West’s Breakfast Club comments to their dislike for Drake.
“I can't keep making these motherfuckers famous,” Chris said of Drake.
“I’m responsible for a lot of reviving of careers. When I keep talking about somebody, I’m just making them hot.”
They also revealed that they are working on a movie. “There hasn’t been a cultural movie as far as our generation is concerned, your traditional house parties,” said Chris. “We want to be able to have those music movies that kinda define the culture of our generation right now.”
Here are some highlights from the interview:-
Tyga on his cash money deal: “I’m leaving. I’m my own man. But at the end of the day, I got the utmost respect for Wayne, but I think the business just wasn’t right. I didn’t see my career being able to get to the next level with the people around, so I just wanted to do my own thing.”
Chris Brown on being faithful: “The hardest part is trying to keep a monogamous relationship, but still wanting to be the 25-year-old sex symbol. You go to shows. You might walk by Trey’s room, somebody’s room, and you might see about six or seven of them thangs, and you’re like, ‘Dang, I just want to slide in there and have a couple drinks real quick.’ And I’ll tell my girl about it later.”
Chris Brown on Karrueche: “I love my woman. In the same breath, I like to have fun and she know I like turning up. Even though it’s not a sexual encounter with females, I just like to be around females.”
Chris Brown on Tyga: “Our chemistry worked. It’s just like we were homeboys, and it just grew from there. And I just was like, ‘I can trust this cat.’ We gettin’ money together because we like each other genuinely.”
Chris Brown on Drake: “I can’t keep making these motherfuckers famous. I’m responsible for a lot of reviving of careers. When I keep talking about somebody, I’m just making them hot.”
Chris Brown on Kanye: “I’m cool with Kanye. I actually respect him more and I kinda over the years just watched him progress as an artist. … There’s a fine line between insanity and genius, and I think you have to be a little crazy to be great. And I know I’m crazy, so I don’t care.”
Tyga on Kylie Jenner: “I just feel like it’s nobody’s business. If I love her and I love her as a person, then that’s me.”
Chris Brown on allowing Amber Rose to twerk for him: “It’s no disrespect. As a man it’s friendly, I know it wouldn’t go anywhere further. I still got respect for Wiz, even though they’re not together, that’s still his baby mama.”
