The Black Eyed Peas Premieres ‘Yesterday’ Music Video

The Black Eyed Peas return with their new single “Yesterday,” on their 20th anniversary, which debuted on Apple Music.

They salute their forefathers on the hip-hop jam, which samples old school records including 'Wu-Tang’s “Killa Bees," 'Beastie Boys’ “Paul Revere,”  ODB’s “Shimmy Shimmy Ya,” N.W.A.’s “Straight Outta Compton,” and Onyx’ “Slam,”

“We’re paying homage to the folks that inspired Black Eyed Peas,” will.i.am told Zane Lowe on Beats 1.

They recreated some classic hip-hop album covers in the video. “The video is a visual version of [the song],” said will.

Scooter Braun manages the group and will release its first album since 2010’s The Beginning later this year.
